Kanika Kapoor Coronavirus Controversy: Doctor RUBBISHES Her Claims: ‘Her Room Is Cleaned Every 4 Hours’
Since a few days ago, the Internet has been abuzz with the news of Kanika Kapoor testing positive for Coronavirus, after her return from London. She was at the receiving end of a lot of criticism especially as people lashed out at her for partying and socializing despite having a travel history, when she should have been self-isolating instead. She is undergoing treatment at Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute for Medical Sciences, Lucknow, and the singer had accused the staff of the hospital in Lucknow of keeping her room dirty, full of mosquitoes.

In her interview with Times of India, Kanika Kapoor had claimed that the room in her hospital was dusty and that she isn’t being treated properly by the authorities. Now, Dr. RK Dhiman, Director of the Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), has denied these claims, calling them baseless. While speaking to Ahmedabad Mirror, Dr Dhiman said that the staff looking after her if for a four-hour shift, and in those four hours, the staff cannot eat or drink anything as they wear anti-infection equipment.

“Every four hours one team is “donned off” their gear and another shift takes over. The room is cleaned every four hours. Kanika Kapoor’s claims are all baseless,” said Dr. Dhiman. He further stated that Kanika Kapoor has been provided with the best possible in a hospital and that instead of throwing starry tantrums, she should co-operate as a patient.

Kanika Kapoor was reportedly present at a party with over 100 guests after her return from London, which was also attended by former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje Scindia. The latter is now in self-quarantine.
